Futsal: Folgore show as they reclaim top spot in the late fixture
Folgore keep pace with Fiorentino by handing Pennarossa a resounding 13-1 defeat. The late kick-off is “uncorked” after just 2 minutes by a goal from Chezzi. Rosa levels things up shortly after the quarter-hour mark. That 1-1 proves the spark for the yellow-and-red-and-black side, who explode in the last 10 minutes of the first half: quickfire goals from Pellegrini (a brace), Bernardi and Pasqualini open up a big gap. Half-time does nothing to cool Spada’s men – quite the opposite. Four minutes into the second half Giardi also gets on the scoresheet; Pasqualini then completes his brace, soon matched by Giardi. Pellegrini decides to help himself to a hat-trick, while Bernardi, who had closed the first half with a goal, chooses to go one better – or rather much more: the league’s leading scorer adds another four, further inflating a scoreline that was already one-sided and once again driving his Folgore side back to the top of the table, level with Fiorentino. There remain three teams with a 100% record: alongside the two joint leaders, there is also Juvenes-Dogana, who however have a game in hand on them.
