Futsal: Folgore tighten their grip on second place with comfortable win over Juvenes

Folgore take command of the Multieventi derby and pull away again from the team in third place. Juvenes-Dogana concede the opener inside 2 minutes from a perfect understanding between Pasqualini and Bernardi: dribble down the wing by the former and a driven ball to the far post for the captain, who only has to stick out a boot to turn it in for 1-0. The advantage is doubled after 5 minutes, again by Bernardi, who this time produces a solo move before toe-poking the ball past Elia Cecchetti. After Pellegrini hits the post, Juvenes-Dogana pull one back from a corner. Simone Chezzi fires the ball hard towards the far post and finds the slightest touch from Baldelli, whose deflection makes it 2-1. Matteo Chezzi’s brace, first set up by Pellegrini and then by Pasqualini, restores a cushion for Folgore before the quarter-hour mark. The gap widens further between the 20th and 26th minute. In this spell, Bernardi adds to his tally for the evening, beating Elia Cecchetti with another toe-poke after a sharp piece of dribbling. Then Volpinari opens up his instep to finish, following a perfect assist from Bernardi himself. Before the interval there is still time for Bologna’s successful free-kick, which catches Giacobbi out from distance. In the second half, some excellent saves from both goalkeepers, together with a post struck by Baldelli from close range, keep the scoreline unchanged for a long stretch, which is only altered again near the end through the Morri-Chezzi combination: number 21 wrestles the ball off Gianni’s feet in his own half and then exchanges passes repeatedly with his team-mate to get around the last defenders in Levani’s side, including the goalkeeper. At that point it is a simple task for Matteo Chezzi to slot the ball into the net for his third of the night (just like Bernardi). On the buzzer, the number 9 in yellow and red has the chance to make it four, but Cecchetti does brilliantly to stop him one-on-one and then deny Tassitano on the rebound. Juvenes-Dogana are thus forced to swallow a second consecutive defeat and see the seven-point gap to sixth-placed Virtus remain unchanged.
