Futsal: four teams with maximum points, first wins for La Fiorita and Juvenes-Dogana
First wins for Juvenes-Dogana and La Fiorita on the second matchday of the Campionato Sammarinese di futsal, played last night. Roberto Levani’s side, after sitting out the opening round, immediately found victory with a clear 8-4 over Cailungo. Despite an early lead for the red and greens, Simone Chezzi and Nicolò Gianni turned it around in the following ten minutes of play. Vitillo tried to get Cailungo back into it, but the Dogana outfit caught fire again through Chezzi (who would end up with four goals) and Gianni (brace), who – together with Mirco Gennari’s own goal – set the score at 7-2 after around half an hour. Vitillo again, and an own goal by Tommaso Cecchetti, tried to haul Cailungo back into contention, but it was not enough. Juvenes-Dogana added to the score with Cavalli’s late goal to seal the final 8-4.
After losing their opener to Tre Fiori, La Fiorita bounced back, putting four past Cosmos. Danny Gasperoni and Giacomo Bernardi struck early, with Paesini adding a third before the break. In the second half the only sour notes for Gianni Galli’s team were the sending-off of Manuel Marchetti and a missed 10-metre free-kick by Michael Mauri. Cosmos, however, were unable to get back into the game, and Gasperoni scored again to complete his brace and make it four for his side.
At the top we have four teams with maximum points. We start with defending champions Fiorentino, who repeat their opening-round win by the same scoreline: in Dogana, Michelotti’s side hit another seven goals in their clash with San Giovanni. The red and blacks coached by Elmiro Corbelli went ahead through Filippo Zafferani, but it was another Zafferani – Luca, in the red and blue shirt – who sparked the comeback. In the second half Fiorentino ran away with it thanks to goals from Lorenzo Cevoli (brace) and the ever-reliable Danilo Busignani (hat-trick).
Folgore also stayed perfect, easing past Tre Penne 6-2. Massimiliano Bernardi opened the scoring early on for Zonzini’s men, Salles levelled for Davide Ghiotti’s side, but once again the yellow-red-and-black striker put his team back in front. After the restart the gap widened in favour of the Falciano outfit thanks to goals from Matteo Chezzi and once more from Bernardi (four goals for him). Davide Giacobbi’s own goal did not unsettle the San Marino runners-up, who wrapped up the 6-2 win late on through Ercolani.
It is also back-to-back victories for Murata: Matteo Moretti struck first, Alessandro Ciacci replied for the biancorossi, but Moretti again restored the lead for Cellarosi’s bianconeri. The former Fiorentino man took centre stage with two more goals of his own, moving to the top of the scoring charts (5 goals for him) and keeping the bianconeri on maximum points.
Tre Fiori also claimed victory, handing Domagnano their first defeat of the season after their winning start. After a goalless first half, the deadlock was broken by Lorenzo Burioni, with Emmanuele Capone replying for the yellow and red Wolves. Filippo Dolcini’s own goal tipped the balance back towards Alex Bugli’s gialloblu, who then killed the game off in the 51st minute through Paolo Verri.
The second matchday concludes tomorrow evening with the late fixture in Fiorentino (kick-off at 21:15) between Faetano and Virtus, with both sides looking for their first points of the season after opening defeats.
