Futsal: Murata draw level with Pennarossa at the top

Murata claimed all three points in the first rearranged fixture of Matchday 2 in the San Marino Futsal Championship. In the match played last night at the Acquaviva Sports Hall, Murata defeated Virtus 3-2 at the end of a hard-fought encounter marked by constant end-to-end play.

Murata broke the deadlock in the 22nd minute thanks to a goal from Simone Andolina, putting the Bianconeri in front. Virtus reacted and in the 29th minute found the equaliser through an unfortunate own goal by Alan Franco Cerquetti. The first half therefore ended all square between the two sides.After the restart, Murata went back in front in the 35th minute, when Rodrigo Alejandro Recober made it 2-1. Virtus did not give up and early in the second half, in the 41st minute, they drew level again through Fabio Belloni. The match remained wide open right until the closing stages, when the team from Città managed to land the decisive blow: in the 52nd minute it was Enzo Gabriel Molinas who scored the goal that sealed the final score at 3-2.

At the final whistle it was therefore the Bianconeri celebrating three precious points, while the Neroverdi were forced to surrender despite having come from behind twice. The result on the Acquaviva court thus reshapes the table of the San Marino Futsal Championship, pending the completion of Matchday 2, with the defending champions on maximum points and Virtus stuck on one point, earned on the opening day against Cosmos.

The matchday will be completed tomorrow evening, again at the Acquaviva Sports Hall.
