Futsal: Murata draw level at the top, Libertas comeback led by outstanding Moretti

Murata earn themselves at least 24 hours as joint leaders. This evening Pennarossa will have the chance to respond and, should they beat Cailungo, they will once again look down on everyone from the top. In that case Murata will still be able to claim a fine second place, taken from a “resting” La Fiorita thanks to the 3-1 win over Juvenes Dogana. The latter are halted after two positive results: Thomas Celli’s goal on 47 minutes comes after Murata had gone two up through Para (15’) and Recober (39’), but it is not the prelude to a comeback, because in the closing stages – specifically on 53 minutes – Molinas steps in to seal all three points for the Bianconeri. It is a second win in a row for Murata and a second consecutive victory also for Libertas, who close the gap on La Fiorita and bring Cosmos with them, with the Gialloverdi able to immediately wipe out the derby slip. The Granata only wake up after the break. Folgore close the first half 2-0 up, with Abbruciati scoring on 25 minutes and Bacciocchi in added time. At that point Moretti puts Libertas on his shoulders: he pulls one back on 33 minutes, equalises from a 10-metre free-kick on 48 minutes and completes the Granata comeback on 59 minutes, a few minutes after missing a second 10-metre free-kick. As mentioned, it was a good Monday evening also for Cosmos, who beat Fiorentino 2-1 and stay level on 13 points with Libertas, three steps below the podium. Bacciocchi opens the scoring on 10 minutes and Cupi puts the Gialloverdi 2-0 up on 21 minutes. Fiorentino react in added time through Rossini, but are unable to land any further blows to avoid a fourth defeat in a row.

Libertas and Cosmos pull away from Faetano, who nonetheless gain a point on Juvenes Dogana thanks to the goalless draw with Tre Fiori, who get back to picking up points after the heavy defeat to Libertas. Tre Fiori draw level with Folgore, as do Tre Penne, who claim a comprehensive win over Domagnano – the second in a row (and of the season) for Muccioli’s side. Dellamotta breaks the deadlock at the Multieventi at the end of the first half, while Cola doubles the lead at the start of the second. Domagnano throw everything forward in the closing stages of the contest, opting for the flying goalkeeper. It proves to be a hugely damaging move for the Wolves, who do get on the scoresheet through Davide Dolcini (right on the final whistle), but concede three goals into an empty net to Tre Penne, who score through Cola (brace), Dellamotta (brace) and Littera. The 5-1 result brings a second consecutive blank for the Giallorossi and the concrete risk of dropping out of the play-off places, should Virtus beat San Giovanni in the second and final postponed fixture, scheduled for tomorrow evening.
