Futsal Championship - 20 September 2026

Futsal: four teams targeting immediate repeat wins

Their opening outing brought fully positive feedback and now they are looking for confirmation. We are talking about the teams that, on matchday one of the futsal championship, managed to claim all three points. Doing it again, as we know, is a challenge within the challenge: Pennarossa, La Fiorita, Faetano and Murata are aiming to win it, while Libertas – resting on the second matchday – will have to wait another week before trying to climb to six points. Pennarossa, after scoring seven against Domagnano, now have their sights set on Tre Fiori, who came close to leaving the derby with Fiorentino empty-handed before being rescued at the death by Giardi. Bugli’s men will need something extra against a side that is widely tipped to be a major force throughout the season – a side that Tre Fiori will face in Monday’s second game, played in Fiorentino. At 20:15, also at the “Crescentini”, Cailungo and Juvenes Dogana will face off, two teams who came off badly from the first 60 minutes of the league campaign. Both suffered heavy defeats (5-1 Cailungo, 6-1 Juvenes Dogana) and both are called upon to produce a strong reaction on the pitch to ensure this tricky spell does not last too long – and, above all, to finally get their season up and running in terms of the table. Another venue will stage a double-header on Monday: the Domagnano sports hall. Opening the evening will be Cosmos and San Giovanni: the former managing to salvage at least a point against Virtus after the temporary comeback produced by the Neroverdi, the latter making their seasonal debut after sitting out the first round. In the late game, Domagnano will take on Fiorentino. Both the red-and-blues and the yellow-and-reds are making their ‘outdoor’ debuts after a round that saw them in action on the parquet in Acquaviva. Domagnano, the Wolves, have had a few more days’ rest and are eager to erase the opening defeat suffered at the hands of Pennarossa. Fiorentino, meanwhile, have already got off the mark but, like Domagnano, are still chasing their first win of the season.

The indoor schedule – three fixtures again on this matchday – will be opened by Tre Penne and Folgore. The two sides will meet tomorrow night at the Multieventi (22:00) and share the need to wipe out their zero in the standings after defeats to Faetano (Tre Penne) and Murata (Folgore). Murata themselves will be in action the following day at the Acquaviva Gym. They will take on a Virtus side that saw two of three points slip away at the end, due to a goal from former player Stolfi, and are therefore firmly targeting a reaction against a team, the Bianconeri, who instead started on the right foot and can therefore ride the positive wave of their win over Folgore. Kick-off time is again 22:00, the same time at which, on Thursday 24th, the second and final late fixture of the round will get under way, also at the Acquaviva Gym. It will be an all-yellow-and-blue clash between two teams both chasing a second victory, having started the season in excellent fashion: La Fiorita and Faetano, facing off in the so-called “Marano derby”.
