Futsal: La Fiorita and Fiorentino still neck and neck, first win for Libertas

La Fiorita pass the Folgore test as well and continue to share top spot with Fiorentino. Galli’s side beat Zonzini’s team with a goal in each half: Gasperoni breaks the deadlock, Belloni doubles the lead. The defeat costs the giallorossoneri as they are overtaken by Tre Fiori, who fully live up to the pre-match predictions in their clash with Cailungo. Bugli’s team come close to a double-figure scoreline, opening the floodgates through Verri and throwing them wide open above all with Esposito, who bags four. The Burioni brothers – first Filippo, then Lorenzo – and goalkeeper Andreani also get on the scoresheet, along with Crescentini. On the other side, goals from another goalkeeper – Serafini – and from Moroni arrive when the game is already long gone. Moroni also appears on the scoresheet in the match between Faetano and Domagnano, comfortably won by the Wolves, who notch a third consecutive victory and draw level with Virtus, who had the week off. Capone opens and closes the scoring in a match in which Lorenzo Bollini also finds the net. Domagnano’s 3-0 comes via a Bacciocchi own goal; Moroni’s strike late on only briefly revives the contest, for about thirty seconds – just the time it takes Domagnano to kick off and score their fourth and final goal of the evening. Fiorentino confirm themselves as the only side with a 100% record. Their seventh win from seven (21 points also for La Fiorita, who have played one game more) comes against Juvenes-Dogana, who were coming off back-to-back draws with Folgore and Cosmos and are beaten 4-0 by Michelotti’s men, who open and close the scoring in the first half. Busignani puts them in front and is joined on the scoresheet by Gasperoni and Cevoli, who crowns his night with a brace. Even so, the number 17 in red and blue is forced to surrender top spot in the scoring charts to a rampant Moretti, who hits five past San Giovanni. It is an evening of strong attacking inspiration across the board for Murata against the bottom club in the single group: the bianconeri needed to bounce back from two straight defeats and do so in style, running out 12-2 winners after opening the scoring inside just 1' through El Attar, who will end his night with a hat-trick, as does team-mate Albani. The undisputed star, however, is Moretti, as mentioned. Felici instead has to "settle" for a single goal. There is no follow-up for San Giovanni after their win over Faetano. The rossoneri can only make their evening slightly less bitter thanks to goals from Zanotti and Berardi. Libertas claim their first league win, moving away – but not too far – from the darkest areas of the table. Against Cosmos they record a 2-1 victory sealed by an Alan Bacciocchi brace, after the gialloverdi had taken the lead through Zafferani. All of this happens within just 12 minutes. Matchday 8 of the league season will be completed tomorrow with the late fixture at the Multieventi between Pennarossa and Tre Penne, both sitting on 9 points and both “hungry” to overtake Juvenes-Dogana.
