Futsal: La Fiorita defeat Faetano and maintain perfect record

Six goals on the opening day and as many as eight last night for La Fiorita, who thanks to their victory over Faetano stay top of the table – together with Pennarossa and Murata – in the San Marino Futsal Championship.

In the final match rounding off the second round of fixtures, the Gialloblù from Montegiardino recorded a convincing win. On the Acquaviva court, Elia Pasqualini broke the deadlock from the spot for Pietrangeli’s team, before Pellegrini and Simone Chezzi added two more to make it three before the interval.

La Fiorita kept their foot on the pedal after the restart, where they managed to score five more times: Zafferani also got his name on the scoresheet, while Chezzi (a brace for him) and Pasqualini (hat-trick) further stretched the lead over Faetano. The eighth and final goal for La Fiorita was scored by Pellegrini (also with a brace). In the closing stages Simone Fortunati found the net with a consolation goal for Faetano – their first defeat of the season after winning their opener. In Acquaviva it finished 8-1 to La Fiorita, who remain on maximum points and also boast the best attacking record in the league.
