Futsal: La Fiorita face Tre Fiori for the other place in the final

The grip of the futsal league play-offs is tightening. After three eliminations, tomorrow will see the last match that will remove one more team from the title race. The loser bows out, the winner goes through to the final and plays all its cards against Folgore, the only unbeaten side so far in the post season. La Fiorita had a first attempt in the semi-final on 23 May and came off second best precisely against Spada’s Giallorossoneri. Tomorrow they will try again in the second semi-final, facing a Tre Fiori side riding the wave of their derby victory – on penalties – over reigning champions Fiorentino. Bugli’s team also used up their first and only bonus against Folgore, in the meeting between the top seeds of the 1st quarter-final. Tomorrow they will meet the team that for a long time contested with them for top spot in Group B. The two league meetings ended in a draw (1-1) and a Tre Fiori win (2-1). Tre Fiori also prevailed in the Titano Futsal Cup, this time by 2-0. Last call to keep the journey going: for Palermino’s side it would mean continuing the hunt for a first futsal title, while for Tre Fiori it would be a fifth Scudetto and ninth overall trophy.
