Futsal: last chance for Pennarossa and Cosmos. Murata and Tre Penne need a miracle

After last night’s Titano Futsal Cup, which saw Fiorentino triumph over Folgore, the spotlight this week turns to matches that are just as decisive. Tomorrow evening will in fact see the four second legs of the Preliminary Round of the Campionato Sammarinese futsal, which will determine the teams progressing to the Quarter-finals of the play-offs. A reminder that if the aggregate score is tied after the two legs, the team with the better position in the regular season will go through. The tie between Cosmos and Juvenes-Dogana is still very much in the balance (Fiorentino, 21:45). In the first leg, the Serravalle derby was edged by Zonzini’s men thanks to a single goal from Simone Chezzi. To overturn the result, Muccioli’s Gialloverdi need to win by at least two goals, given Juvenes-Dogana’s superior placing in the regular season. Another tie to watch closely is Pennarossa vs Libertas, scheduled in Fiorentino at 20:15. Last week Penserini’s side claimed a 5-3 victory. A crucial result, because the Granata finished the regular season behind the Biancorossi and now Casadei’s team must win by at least two goals to advance to the Quarter-finals. It is a very different situation for Domagnano and Virtus, who already have one foot in the next round. Mussoni’s Giallorossi go into the home leg in Domagnano at 21:30 with a 4-0 first-leg advantage earned against Murata. A mountain to climb for the Bianconeri, who will need to win by at least five goals to go through (in the regular season Domagnano finished sixth, Murata eleventh). A similar scenario for Virtus, who in the first leg comfortably beat Tre Penne 3-0. The Neroverdi can also rely on their superior regular season ranking (fifth place compared to twelfth for the side from Città), so only a victory by at least four goals will be enough for the Biancazzurri. This match will be played in Dogana at 21:30.   Here is the full schedule for the Preliminary Round of the Campionato Sammarinese futsal:
