Futsal: league fixtures and Titano Futsal Cup draw made

The 2024-25 San Marino futsal season got underway last night. At the Casa del Calcio in Montecchio – headquarters of the FSGC – the fixtures for the Campionato Sammarinese and the draw for the Titano Futsal Cup were made. As for the league, fate immediately pairs defending champions Fiorentino with a revamped Virtus led by Matteo Michelotti – formerly head coach of the Rossoblu themselves. Folgore, winners of the Titano Futsal Cup and the Super Cup, will face Cailungo, while Murata – boosted by new signing Danilo Busignani – take on Libertas. The other fixtures on Matchday 1, scheduled for Monday 23 September, are: Pennarossa v Juvenes-Dogana, Domagnano v San Giovanni, Tre Penne v Cosmos, Tre Fiori v Faetano. La Fiorita will have the first bye week. Alongside the league, attention also turns to the Titano Futsal Cup bracket. The format, like that of the league, is unchanged from recent seasons and the competition will start from the Round of 16. In the top half of the draw, where holders Folgore will enter at the quarter-final stage, the Giallorossoneri will meet the winners of Juvenes-Dogana v Cailungo. In the same half of the draw, Murata have been paired with Faetano, while Domagnano will face La Fiorita. In the bottom half, Tre Fiori have drawn Pennarossa, while Libertas will play San Giovanni. The Round of 16 line-up is completed by Virtus v Tre Penne and Cosmos v Fiorentino. The first official appointment of the season, however, will be the San Marino Futsal Super Cup, to be played on Wednesday 18 September at 21:00: Fiorentino and Folgore will meet yet again on the court of the Multieventi Sport Domus, both aiming to lift another trophy.
