Futsal, Malta Cup: Under-18 finish with a 2-0 defeat to Gibraltar

The campaign of San Marino’s national youth futsal team at the Malta Cup 2024 comes to an end with a defeat. After facing the two Maltese representative sides, the young Biancazzurri met their peers from Gibraltar yesterday. It was a fairly balanced match to close out three uninterrupted days of international fixtures, but it was the Gibraltar side who came out on top, winning 2-0. James Bosio’s boys scored once in each half, breaking the deadlock on 16 minutes through Louis Delmedo. San Marino were unable to find the equaliser despite some good chances, and were then caught cold after the restart. In the 3rd minute of the second half, Gibraltar doubled their lead to make it 2-0, with the goal scored by Sebastian Diaz.
