Futsal: Murata run riot, Virtus top with the last kick of the game
The perfect start continues for Virtus, who had to work extremely hard to finally break down Cosmos. In the second match scheduled in Dogana, the Neroverdi took the lead through Zafferani on 20 minutes, only to be pegged back after the break by Bacciocchi. From then until the end the scoreline remained perfectly balanced, before swinging Virtus’ way thanks to Pasqualini’s strike in the second and final minute of added time, with the team using a flying goalkeeper.
Murata and Domagnano are the first pursuers, bearing in mind that La Fiorita – who have already observed their rest round – are also travelling with a 100% record like the league leaders. The Gialloblù were also in action in Dogana, where they beat Tre Penne 3-1. The game followed a similar pattern to the one that would be played afterwards, with La Fiorita going in front through Simone Chezzi and being caught midway through the second half by Sabatino. The final minutes rewarded the efforts of Traviglia’s men, who scored in the 52nd minute with Morini and in the 60th with Pellegrini.
Smooth sailing for Pennarossa and Murata, both playing in Fiorentino. The Biancorossi hit double figures against Libertas, beaten 10-0. Toccaceli and Verri both netted hat-tricks, added to Stefanelli’s brace and goals from Maiani and Ceccoli. Murata even pass the 20-goal mark, having already been strong favourites against San Giovanni, who also had to cope with the dismissal of their goalkeeper – Denis Valentini – after just ten minutes. With no other players available, the Rossoneri played virtually the whole match a man down, succumbing to a 21-0 defeat in which the main protagonist was Danilo Busignani – on target no fewer than eight times. In the Bianconeri’s goal fest there was also room on the scoresheet for Moretti (hat-trick), Mattioli, Ghiotti, Littera, Belloni (braces), Ercolani and Cesarini – the latter two with one goal apiece.
It was an electric clash between Tre Fiori and Domagnano, with the Wolves running out 3-2 winners in a match conditioned by a red card for each side. Villa’s dismissal, for Domagnano, came as early as the 9th minute. Curiously, Domagnano’s opener and Tre Fiori’s subsequent equaliser both arrived while Tre Fiori were enjoying a powerplay. Filippo Dolcini made it 1-0 from a set piece, while Tamagnini restored parity right at the end of the two-minute numerical advantage. On 20 minutes captain Menghi put Domagnano back in front, but they were unable to take that lead into the break because of an own goal credited to Capone. The man to tip the balance again after the restart was Filippo Dolcini, who in the 44th minute struck what proved to be the winner. Late on, Zanotti picked up his second yellow card of the night, leaving Tre Fiori a man down. Domagnano failed to make the most of it to put the game to bed, but still secured all three points at the final whistle.
Perfect balance, finally, in the indoor encounter between Faetano and Cailungo. At the Multieventi the match finished 1-1, allowing the Gialloblù to get off the mark after three straight defeats. There was frustration for Venerucci’s side, who had gone in front on 13 minutes through Rossini. Faetano’s response brought the equaliser from Caruso a few minutes before half-time. Neither side could find the decisive touch after the restart, giving Cailungo a third consecutive positive result and Faetano their first point of the season.
Tomorrow evening Juvenes-Dogana and Fiorentino will complete the round: appointment at the Multieventi, kick-off at 21:45.
