Futsal: Murata unstoppable, Folgore swept aside

It’s a Murata side flying towards an unbeaten regular season that last night, on the Acquaviva court, brushed aside Folgore with a resounding 12-0, sealing yet another consecutive win. After just a few minutes, Max Spada’s team – facing his former club – opens the scoring through Andrea Ercolani, quick to intercept the ball and beat Stefanelli from distance. He also signs the second, which arrives shortly after: in the 3rd minute he takes on Ghiotti’s pass, skips past his namesake from Folgore – Michele – and makes it 2-0. The third for the Bianconeri comes on 22 minutes, when Mattioli, after a series of feints that bamboozle Casali, fires into the top corner with a stunning strike. Murata’s first-half tally stops at four: Moretti’s shot is deflected by Pelliccioni, the ball reaches De Angelis who lays it off again for Moretti, and he threads his way through the red-and-black shirts to make it 4-0. The Bianconeri tornado blows even stronger after the break, with eight more goals. On 38 minutes, Mattioli starts it off, capitalising on Mularoni’s poor restart and then easily beating Stefanelli. In the 42nd minute, De Angelis also joins the rout, needing only to tap in Busignani’s assist after some excellent wing play from the Sammarinese marksman. The seventh goal bears the name of Matteo Moretti, who rounds Stefanelli with ease after Littera’s assist, punishing a very sluggish Folgore defence. On 47 minutes, Mattioli completes his hat-trick with a precise right-footed finish from the edge that proves lethal. Still missing from the scoresheet was Danilo Busignani, who strikes in the 54th minute with one of his trademark rockets from distance. Murata’s tenth goal arrives via a Ercolani own goal after a shot-cross from Moretti – at the end of a move started by Protti – and a minute later it’s a brace for Busignani, who bags Murata’s eleventh (a left-footed curler after a corner from Ercolani). The final goal for Murata comes in the 58th minute through Belloni, who meets Busignani’s corner and unleashes a powerful drive from distance to seal the scoreline at 12-0. The table situation remains essentially unchanged for Murata, still top and eight points clear of Pennarossa. Folgore, suffering a third defeat in a row, stay in eleventh place – still within the play-off zone.
