Futsal: Pennarossa and Murata meet at the top in the late kick-off on Matchday 17

Without a shadow of a doubt, it is Pennarossa vs Murata that is capturing the attention of San Marino futsal fans. The headline clash is scheduled for the late Tuesday fixture, on the Acquaviva sports hall court, with kick-off at 21:45. The result will say a great deal about the balance of power among the leading sides, with the Bianconeri – top of the table and three points clear of their next opponents – keen to lay down a marker. On the other hand, Novembrini’s team want to confirm themselves as the only side still unbeaten against Murata. The reverse fixture finished 3-3 and it was from that match that Pennarossa fully realised their potential which – should it lead to a prestigious victory – would propel the Biancorossi to the summit. La Fiorita will also be hoping for a slip-up from Murata; they face Faetano tomorrow on the artificial pitch in Fiorentino (21:45). The only team to have already observed their rest round in the second half of the season, Traviglia’s side could seize top spot outright in a few weeks’ time. Earlier, also in Fiorentino, Domagnano vs Cailungo is on the schedule. In this match the Wolves start as favourites, driven by the objective of moving back ahead of Tre Penne – who are simultaneously in action against Juvenes-Dogana (Dogana, 20:15). After Levani’s team have played, it will be the turn of Claudio Zonzini’s Folgore. The Falciano club will take on San Giovanni. The Rossoneri are in real need of points, sitting five points adrift of the last available berth for the postseason. The Monday indoor match will be Tre Fiori vs Virtus. The Gialloblù are experiencing a season at odds with their recent ultra-competitive campaigns, while Michelotti’s side are aiming to establish themselves as title contenders. So far, the Acquaviva team have collected twelve wins from fifteen outings, despite having to cope with the significant absence of Zafferani. There is also action in Domagnano: the only match scheduled for 21:15 will see Fiorentino take on Cosmos. Separated by just two points in the table, where they occupy mid-table positions, both can already be cautiously optimistic about reaching the play-offs – barring any upsets.
