Futsal: four-goal hauls for Domagnano, Tre Fiori and Libertas, Murata claw back Virtus

Strong first-leg claims from Domagnano, Tre Fiori and Libertas on a place in the Titano Futsal Cup quarter-finals – and in La Fiorita’s case, an even stronger one. The latter take the first round of their tie with Tre Penne with a resounding 7-1 win, set in motion after 11 minutes by Bernardi and extended by Gasperoni, before the Biancazzurri replied through Manzaroli. Before the interval Franciosi and again Gasperoni give the Montegiardino side a comfortable cushion, which is further increased after the restart, when Franciosi and Bernardi strike again, along with Giuccioli. Midway through the second half Tre Penne also go a man down, as Salles receives a second yellow card and will miss the return leg. Tre Fiori put four past Faetano, thanks above all to Michele Casadei, who in the first half scores three of the four goals netted by Bugli’s Gialloblù. The other Gialloblù, Gualtieri’s side, manage at least to soften the scoreline slightly straight after Esposito’s 4-0. It is Bacciocchi who spoils the opponents’ clean sheet and gives Faetano a bit more hope ahead of the second leg. Exactly the same scoreline in the clash between Domagnano and San Giovanni. The Wolves set a clear course for the tie already in the first half, going in 3-0 up thanks to goals from Capone, Villa and Vagnini. At the start of the second half Macina tries to spark a reaction for San Giovanni, but the gap widens again when Manuel Bollini signs off on the 4-1 goal. At the death, the other Bollini available to Fabio Gasperoni, Lorenzo, is sent off with a straight red for denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity. There is also a sending-off in Murata–Virtus, one of the most anticipated fixtures on paper and undoubtedly among the most hard-fought on the night. When Nicola Albani is shown his second yellow card of the evening, his Murata have already dragged themselves back into a match that had started uphill. Virtus in fact produce an excellent first half, going in 2-0 up thanks to goals from Aruci and Sensoli, both scoring for the second time this week. Murata’s comeback bears the stamp of Felici, whose brace between the 49th and 57th minutes brings the Bianconeri back on level terms and leaves everything to be decided in the return leg. It is a much calmer night for Libertas, who comfortably deal with Cailungo with a 4-0 victory. Half of the Granata’s attacking output comes from Alex Stefanelli, on target from a free-kick and from open play. The other goals that allow Penserini’s side to look ahead to the second leg with many more positive than negative thoughts are scored by Caruso and Tonini. The other derby of the evening, the one in the Castello di Serravalle, is tinged with Folgore’s colours, albeit in less dominant fashion than three days earlier – again against Cosmos. Then it finished 7-0; this time it is 2-0, a scoreline built with a goal in each half: Pasqualini breaks the deadlock, Pellegrini seals it. In the only indoor tie, Juvenes-Dogana suffer their first defeat of the season, beaten 3-2 by Pennarossa. The match opens up quite late, in the 26th minute of the first half, when Alessandro Podeschi puts the Chiesanuova side in front. Chezzi replies at the start of the second half; then Gianni completes the comeback for Levani’s team, who will in turn be overturned. Pennarossa restore parity in the 52nd minute through Maiani, before landing the decisive blow two minutes from the 60th, once again with Podeschi.
