Futsal: Domagnano hit four and move clear in third place

A fourth consecutive victory and a fifth game unbeaten for Domagnano, who thanks to yesterday’s 4-1 win over Cailungo move into third place on their own, pulling away for the moment from Virtus and Tre Fiori, who had drawn in Monday’s head‑to‑head clash. It was Francesco Morri who broke the deadlock in the late kick-off at Acquaviva with a free‑kick shortly before the quarter-hour mark. An own goal by Venerucci and a close‑range finish from Manuel Bollini – again following a set piece – allowed the Wolves to go into the break with a solid lead. A lead that Burgagni tried to cut into midway through the second half, without however sparking a comeback in the style of the cup round of 16. On the contrary, the final word on the match again belonged to Domagnano: Filippo Dolcini made sure of the Giallorossi victory with a poacher’s touch right on the goal line. For Cailungo this is a seventh defeat in seven games: a streak that leaves the Rossoverdi further adrift from the rest of the pack.
