Futsal: predictions spot on in Matchday 11, first win of the season for Faetano
There were no surprise results in the early fixtures of Matchday 11 of the San Marino Futsal Championship, which will be completed tomorrow evening at the Multieventi with the late kick-off that Tre Penne will be hoping also confirms the pre-match predictions. The club from Città will face bottom side Libertas from 21:45.
Murata remain out in front, as they brush aside Folgore with a resounding 6-0 win featuring braces from Moretti and Mattioli. Despite the emphatic scoreline, it should be noted that the league leaders only broke the deadlock two minutes before half-time, before running riot in the final quarter of an hour. In that phase of the match Belloni and Littera also got their names on the scoresheet. Pennarossa and La Fiorita stay in pursuit. In particular, the Gialloblù, if they can maintain this pace and also win against Virtus before the break, could soon find themselves just a point behind the Bianconeri. By half-time La Fiorita had already scored five, with several different scorers: Simone Chezzi, Giuccioli, Pellegrini, Morini and Gualandi. After the restart, Pellegrini needed just two minutes to strike twice more and complete his hat-trick, while Paesini finished with a brace in the 11-0 victory, in which there was also room for goals from Baldelli and a double from Morini.
Narrow win for Pennarossa, who started strongly and went 2-0 up thanks to a Danny Gasperoni brace. Early in the second half Bernardi got the reigning champions back into it, before former player Maiani restored a cushion for the Biancorossi. That proved crucial, as Paolo Casadei – a minute before the 60th – made it 3-2, a scoreline that held to the final whistle. In the closing stages, Baizan was sent off for Fiorentino. The Rossoblù slip to -18 from the leaders, and now face a double-digit deficit even with regard to direct qualification for the quarter-finals.
Faetano can celebrate their first win of the season, beating San Giovanni 6-4 to move to the edge of 12th place. Franchino’s Rossoneri were however ahead at the break, thanks to an own goal by Giacomo Bacciocchi. Rossi’s second at 43' gave San Giovanni false hope, before they collapsed in the final quarter of an hour. In the space of seven minutes Caruso, Bacciocchi and El Attar (two goals) turned the game on its head to make it 4-2 to the Gialloblù. From then until the end there was a flurry of goals at both ends, with Bacciocchi and El Attar further improving their tallies, while San Giovanni reduced the deficit through Zafferani and Volpinari but were never able to get back on level terms on the scoresheet.
Comeback win for Cosmos, who fell behind early on against Tre Fiori. Mattia Michelotti scored, taking less than three minutes to find the net. Before half-time Muccioli’s men levelled with a 10-metre free-kick from Molinas, then found the decisive touch on 51' through Cerquetti. The six-pointer goes Cosmos’ way, putting them in pursuit of Folgore and lifting them above Juvenes-Dogana. Levani’s side came up against the solidity of Domagnano, who went in front at the end of the first half thanks to Vagnini. After the break former Juvenes-Dogana man Gatti doubled the lead, and a penalty from Capone – won by Santarini – effectively sealed the Giallorossi victory. Moments before Ercolani’s final whistle, there was glory too for Muraccini, who from his own half found Juvenes-Dogana’s empty net to make it 4-0. The Wolves remain two points off fourth place, currently occupied by Virtus, who will return to action next week after their rest round.
