Futsal: second consecutive win for Domagnano

Domagnano make no mistake in the third indoor match of Matchday 5 in the Campionato Sammarinese di Futsal and see off San Giovanni with a clear-cut 5-1 victory. Everything goes according to plan for Fabio Gasperoni’s men, who record their second win on the bounce and continue their climb up the table, edging closer to the leading pack.

The deadlock is broken by Davide Dolcini on 17 minutes, followed in the 27th minute by Ciarmatori, allowing the Wolves to go into the break with a two-goal cushion. After the restart it is Menghi who takes centre stage, scoring twice in the space of two minutes, in the 50th and 52nd, to put Domagnano 4-0 up. Late on, the Wolves are again denied their first ever clean sheet: San Giovanni find a consolation goal on 57 minutes through Gracik, taking advantage of the flying goalkeeper. Palermino’s side immediately try the same solution again, but this time the outcome is very different: in the 60th minute Domagnano win the ball back and, with Davide Dolcini breaking away unchallenged with no one guarding the goal, make it 5-1 with the final strike of the night, completing his personal brace. Domagnano thus confirm their positive spell and build on the success of the previous round. It is a difficult evening instead for San Giovanni, who fail to turn things around and remain stuck on zero points after five matchdays.

The Futsal Championship rolls on: tonight, once again on the court, the final fixture to close Matchday 5. Faetano – Folgore, at 22:00, at the Acquaviva sports hall.
