Futsal: snow halts the league, matches only in Dogana

The heavy snowfall in recent hours on Mount Titano has also affected football in San Marino. As with the Campionato Sammarinese BKN301, the futsal league schedule for tomorrow and Tuesday has also been changed. In the fifteenth round of the league, in fact, play will take place only tomorrow evening with the double-header in Dogana. The matches scheduled to be played in Fiorentino and Acquaviva have been postponed to a date yet to be determined. Taking to the court at 20:15 will be Virtus and San Giovanni. After sitting out the last round, the Neroverdi from Acquaviva are looking for important points to keep pace with the teams in the upper reaches of the table. Virtus are currently seventh, and a potential win would virtually lift them into sole possession of fourth place. San Giovanni – who, like the Neroverdi, are coming off a victory in their last outing – also want to continue climbing the standings, with the Rossoneri currently in tenth place on ten points. The second match in Dogana at 21:45 is Tre Fiori v Cailungo. Behind powerhouses Folgore and Fiorentino sit Alex Bugli’s side, eight points adrift of the leading duo. The Gialloblu are in good form with three consecutive wins and go into the game as favourites against a Cailungo side bottom of the table on just four points, but coming off a 3-3 draw with Murata.
