Futsal: spotlight on Pennarossa-Tre Penne, Virtus aiming to close the gap

The 25th matchday of the San Marino Futsal Championship will kick off tomorrow and conclude on Thursday evening. The stand-out fixture on Monday is the first game in Fiorentino at 20:15, where Pennarossa and Tre Penne go head-to-head. The Biancorossi sit second – but eight points off the top – while the Biancoazzurri are currently fourth.

In the following game in Fiorentino (21:45) Juvenes-Dogana and San Giovanni will do battle. Levani’s side are coming off a good win in the last round and are comfortably placed in mid-table (ninth). It’s a different story for the Rossoneri, second from bottom and now effectively out of the play-off race.

Libertas and Domagnano, meanwhile, will open proceedings in Dogana at 20:15. The Wolves – beaten in their last two – have a chance to get back to picking up points against the Granata (bottom of the table) and close in on fifth place, currently occupied by Virtus. It is precisely the Neroverdi who will take centre stage in the next match in Fiorentino at 21:45. Michelotti’s team will in fact face Faetano looking to move closer to Tre Penne in fourth – the position that guarantees direct access to the play-offs.

The Domagnano venue will host the only 21:15 kick-off, between Tre Fiori and Folgore. A balanced match is in prospect, with just a single point separating the two sides (the Gialloblu are ahead of the Giallorossoneri), both sitting in mid-table and firmly in the play-off positions. Matchday 25 then continues on Wednesday evening at 21:45, when leaders Murata take on Cosmos at the Multieventi. The odds are in favour of Massimiliano Spada’s Bianconeri – who have strung together 21 consecutive wins – but the Gialloverdi are also in fine form, unbeaten in eight.

The final fixture of the week is scheduled for Thursday 27th at 21:45 on the court of the Acquaviva sports hall. La Fiorita and Fiorentino will face off, with the Gialloblu from Montegiardino looking to consolidate their current third place. The recent form of the two sides is in fact very similar – three wins on the spin – despite Galli’s Rossoblu being 25 points adrift of Traviglia’s team.
