Futsal: three draws in the early fixtures of matchday three
Already a low-probability outcome in futsal matches, it’s hard to call it anything but remarkable to see three draws out of the five scheduled fixtures. Only La Fiorita and Murata claim victory in the advance games of matchday three of the 2025-26 Sammarinese Futsal Championship, and both now sit top of the table with maximum points, awaiting the response of Virtus (tonight) and Tre Penne (tomorrow).
The holders Murata win without ever really being challenged, going in 5-0 up at half-time thanks to a De Angelis hat-trick and a brace from Busignani. The captain completes his hat-trick midway through the second half, while Tre Fiori’s consolation goal arrives a minute from the end of normal time, scored by Macina.
La Fiorita also head to the interval with five goals on the board, the result of a Chezzi brace inside the opening two minutes, an own goal by Simone Fortunati and further strikes from Raschi and Bologna. Fantini nets Faetano’s temporary 1-5 and will score again at the death. Too late to get back into the contest, especially as in the meantime La Fiorita had stretched their advantage to 7-1 through Pellegrini and Bernardi, with Moroni’s goal on 49 minutes only trimming the margin.
Of the three draws recorded last night, perhaps only Juvenes-Dogana v Folgore hinted at a similar outcome beforehand. In the 2-2 final score of the Serravalle derby there is room for two braces: Taddei’s (his second in as many games) which twice puts the Falciano club ahead, only for both leads to be cancelled out by goals from Nicolò Gianni. There are no goals after the break in Dogana. The same venue had earlier produced another draw, between Libertas and runners-up Pennarossa. The Granata concede to Angelini from one of the last balls of the first half, but deserve credit for levelling less than three minutes into the second period – sealing the 1-1 that would hold until the final whistle. Cailungo can celebrate their first point of the season, after two consecutive defeats. Domagnano, by contrast, are left frustrated: Gasperoni’s side had broken the deadlock on the quarter-hour through Bonfini, only to be pegged back by the equaliser early in the second half. On the scoresheet for Cailungo is Elia Sarti.
The remaining games follow tonight and tomorrow, with Virtus and Tre Penne chasing wins that would keep them joint-top with Murata and La Fiorita. Cosmos also have designs on a perfect start, having won their only outing so far. For that reason, this evening’s clash at the Acquaviva sports hall promises to be lively and engaging. Fiorentino will close out the round on Wednesday, hunting their first league points at the expense of Tre Penne.
