Futsal: Tre Fiori make no mistake and reclaim third place on their own

Tre Fiori needed a win to shake off La Fiorita, and they duly delivered: Bugli’s side comfortably defeated Faetano in the late fixture to reclaim third place on their own, extending their winning streak to three. The contest was effectively wrapped up before half-time: three goals in very quick succession from Boschi set Tre Fiori on their way, and they kept piling on the pressure until the 6-0 scoreline at the interval. In addition to the captain, Ferrenti, Toccaceli and Verri all found the net. The latter would further boost his personal tally with two more goals after the restart; in between came the 8-0 strike from Mariotti. No comeback for Faetano, who were forced to swallow a fourth consecutive defeat and remain locked on 10 points alongside Libertas and – as of Monday evening – also San Giovanni.
