Futsal: Tre Penne’s comeback win in the late Multieventi fixture

Three goals down at half-time, Tre Penne turn the match around against Libertas and, with a 6-3 scoreline, claim the late Multieventi fixture that closes the eleventh matchday of the San Marino Futsal Championship. Libertas make the brighter start and get in front after just a few minutes: Matteo Zaghini breaks through down the right and fires a precise diagonal effort into the far corner for the opener. Libertas soon find their second goal: in the 6th minute Tre Penne goalkeeper Casadei carries the ball out and, once at the edge of the area, shoots; Inverardi parries, but as the ball spills loose, Zaghini pounces and strikes superbly from his own half, making it 2-0. Tre Penne push without really threatening, while Libertas sit deep and counter to great effect, as on the occasion of the third: a sole-of-the-boot touch from Taddei for Zaghini, who shows blistering pace and once again beats the onrushing Casadei to complete his hat-trick. After the break the side from Città up the tempo and begin their comeback on 33 minutes: Casadei joins the attack and this time makes no mistake, spreading the play wide to Cola, who shoots on goal; Inverardi gets a touch, but it is not enough. A few minutes later Penserini’s team close the gap further: Cola’s shot is turned into the net by Sabatino, who makes no mistake from point-blank range. Now Tre Penne are full of belief and, in the 46th minute, the comeback is complete: Ercolani presses Marinelli effectively, steals the ball and shoots; Inverardi makes an initial save, but he can do nothing about Roberto Rossini’s follow-up. The same Rossini is on the spot again a minute later to put Tre Penne in front: Beinat takes a corner and plays it short to Gamba, who shoots; the Libertas defence fail to clear and Rossini is there again to turn it in. Libertas then have a chance to level, but this time Casadei comes out on top against Zaghini. Tre Penne then produce the decisive surge to put the contest to bed. First Gamba, set up by Sabatino, scores with a delightful back-heel for the fifth, then the final 6-3 arrives through Cola (a brace for him as well), who tucks home after Ercolani’s shot is parried.
