Futsal: the women’s team set for second season

The women’s futsal team is preparing to tackle its second season in the CSI league. The federal project launched last year to expand the pool of players of national interest has fully confirmed in toto the all-San Marino coaching staff – once again led by head coach Mattia Casadei. The coach and his staff began work about a month ago, with regular twice-weekly training sessions which – starting this very Friday – will be joined by competitive fixtures. There are in fact just two days to go until the league debut for the futsal Titane, whose numbers have grown significantly compared to last season – clear evidence of the excellent all-round results achieved by this project in its first year. The journey of Mattia Casadei’s team has become increasingly intertwined with that of the women’s National Team, which is close to making its (double) official debut and is also working towards the 2027 UEFA Women’s Nations League. For the futsal players, the CSI league immediately serves up a demanding double-header in quick succession: away on Friday against Derby 2.0 (Castrocaro Terme, 21:30) and at home on Sunday (Acquaviva Sports Hall, 18:30) against Cesena C5.
