Grassroots Day 2026 held in Montecchio

Yesterday afternoon, 23 September, in Montecchio, Grassroots Day 2026 took place, a day dedicated to the youngest players and to the core values of grassroots football. The main protagonists of the event were all the grassroots youth football hubs of the FSGC: Serravalle Football Academy, Titano Academy, Serenissima, Cailungo and San Marino Academy Women, who took part with their young boys and girls from the two Under-10 age groups and the most recent Under-8 age group. On the pitch there was room for small-sided games, activities and fun-based exercises, designed to allow children to experience football in an atmosphere centred above all on celebration, sharing and enjoyment. As per tradition, this year’s Grassroots Day was once again included in the UEFA Grassroots Week. An initiative that celebrates football for all across Europe, starting from the youngest: a highly significant and memorable day for the San Marino movement which, thanks to the coordination of the coaches involved in the CEF project, is able to guarantee the organisation of events of this kind.
