Grassroots sector: Primi Calci and Mini Calci tournaments kick off

As usual, the period between the end of April and the beginning of May is dedicated to the double date with the Primi Calci and Mini Calci tournaments, now in their 31st and 29th editions respectively. Both linked to the “Rainbow Cup” (4th edition), the two events will be spread over the same number of match days. It all starts on Friday with Primi Calci, the tournament dedicated to girls and boys born in 2014 and 2015, played in 7-a-side format, with specific rules designed as an introduction to the principles of the game and to the laws of “adult” football. In this case matches are scheduled in the evening, starting at 19:30 on both Friday 26 April and on DAY 2, namely Friday 3 May. No league tables or awards are envisaged and, alongside the teams from the San Marino hubs, the tournament will also feature two Italian guests: Olympia Macerata and Polisportiva Garden. The same two clubs will also be involved in the Mini Calci Tournament, staged on the mornings of Saturday 27 April and Saturday 4 May, starting at 9:30. Taking part will be girls and boys born in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Matches will be played 5-a-side and 4-a-side, depending on the year of birth. In addition, there will also be some 2-a-side challenges. Besides the two aforementioned Italian clubs and the hub teams, Tropical Coriano will also be “in the game”. Both the Mini Calci and Primi Calci Tournaments will be held at the “Crescentini” Stadium in Fiorentino.
