Honours for the FSGC on Isola del Giglio

Two major honours were awarded to the FSGC at the event “Isola del Giglio, l'isola dello sport” held on 10 June in the renowned Tuscan tourist destination. During the evening, organised by Consulting Service Sport Italia and Rossano Dolfi, FSGC President Marco Tura and Administrative Coordinator as well as Head of Marketing, Andrea Nardoni, received awards. The central theme of the event was Italy’s 2006 FIFA World Cup triumph, and several key figures from that historic success were in attendance, including then organisational director Giancarlo Abete, team doctor Prof. Enrico Castellacci, Prefect Francesco Tagliente (at the time head of security) and assistant coach Narciso Pezzotti, who shared anecdotes and memories from an unforgettable moment in Italian football. Also joining remotely was then head coach Marcello Lippi. President Tura and Nardoni – although unable to attend in person due to prior commitments – expressed their thanks in a video message screened during the evening hosted by RAI journalist Simona Rolandi. “It is an honour to see our commitment to sport recognised in important settings such as this event on Isola del Giglio,” said President Tura, “and I would like to share this award with the entire San Marino football family.”
