Integrity: Massimiliano Rosti among participants in UEFA anti match-fixing courses

The Integrity Officer of the San Marino Football Federation, lawyer Massimiliano Rosti, is also among the participants in a series of UEFA-run meetings on the fight against match-fixing. The project forms an integral part of the programme launched in Nyon on this sensitive issue, designed specifically for the Integrity Officers of the affiliated national associations. For 2023, two series of four modules have been scheduled, including new topics and updates. These range from open-source intelligence (OSINT), increasingly embedded at various levels in investigative and information analysis practices, to the latest developments in the global sports betting infrastructure. The latter was the specific focus of this morning’s module – exploring both the analysis of sports betting trends and the latest data on potential illegal drifts in the sector. With input from Christian Kalb (Sport Integrity and Betting Consultant at CK Consulting), participants were presented with current industry models, the latest market trends and the leading international operators in the field. In short, an overview of the betting-related infrastructure, updated to 2023. The upcoming events on the calendar, held at two-week intervals, will allow UEFA member association Integrity Officers to delve into the most effective educational strategies to combat match-fixing and to navigate confidently through the key interview techniques used in investigative procedures in this area. Speakers for these two important modules will be Stephanie Eichenberger (Anti-Match-Fixing Expert), Sarah Lacarrière (UEFA Integrity Policy Specialist) and David Benford (Forensic Accountant and Fraud Investigator, Control Risks).
