League: crazy Fiorentino comeback inspired by Ben Kacem, Domagnano fall

An unbeaten run of ten consecutive matches comes to an end for Domagnano who, after three straight draws with La Fiorita, San Giovanni and Pennarossa, fall to Libertas. The Granata, for their part, collect just their third win in sixteen outings – the previous two successes both arriving in September 2025. The contest is decided by two splendid goals from Quarta and Nicolini, which ultimately render Famiglietti’s stoppage-time strike futile. The Giallorossi take control of proceedings, but their efforts towards Manzaroli lack sting. Andrea Quarta’s effort, right at the end of the first half, is instead simply worthy of applause: a driving run through the middle and a thunderbolt into the top corner that leaves Papi no chance. Early in the second half the goalkeeper is immediately decisive in denying Fabio Ramòn Tomassini after a defensive lapse, while he can do nothing about Nicolini’s delicate right-footed finish on 73 minutes – superbly set up by a pinpoint Baiardi assist. Famiglietti’s goal for 2-1, beautifully taken, arrives too late, deep into the third minute of added time.

What unfolds in Fiorentino borders on the incredible, where Pennarossa deservedly go 2-0 up through Pintore – at the end of a fine move rounded off by Dulcetti – and Domini, whose wide free-kick evades any touch in the heart of the area. Benedettini is outstanding on at least three occasions, preventing the deficit from growing even heavier. That proves decisive, as his team-mates only really get into the game a good half-hour late. Mariano’s effort against the post on 34 minutes suggested it might be an off night, but the equation had yet to factor in the Ben Kacem effect. The former Pennarossa man halves the arrears on 37 minutes, finishing a superb move – initiated by a genius outside-of-the-boot assist from Gjonaj – with a delicate left-footed lob over the goalkeeper. Pennarossa feel the blow and after the break succumb to the flair of their opponents: on the hour mark it is again Ben Kacem who scores, this time directly from a corner. A low delivery towards the near post squeezes between team-mates and opponents’ legs to wrong-foot Tordella. There is nothing the keeper can do two minutes later either, when Belward unleashes a left-foot rocket that flies into the top corner to complete the comeback. The woodwork at that end proves far friendlier to the Rossoblù who – after striking it again through Mariano – extend their lead on the tap-in that seals Ben Kacem’s hat-trick. In between comes the chance for 3-3, squandered by Pintore.

Murata are now rooted to the bottom, leaving the Ezio Conti in Dogana empty-handed against Cailungo. The first real threat comes from the Rossoverdi, with Persichilli’s acrobatic touch drawing a superb elastic save from Sias – again alert to turn away Conti’s long-range right-footer. There is little else to note until the hour mark, when De Luca wastes a gilt-edged chance, scuffing a left-footed effort with the goal at his mercy. No lasting damage, because from a Conti corner Bua opens the scoring for Benedetti’s side. The striker rises majestically and gives Sias no chance. A toothless Murata not only fail to muster a reaction, but collapse completely to Michelucci’s solo effort: a shift from left to right to create space for a shot from a tight yet inviting angle, which gives Cailungo wings on 82 minutes.

The final match of the evening records a fourth consecutive victory for Tre Penne, who sweep aside Faetano. Bonini’s side come within centimetres of the lead on 15 minutes, when Turchetta’s header crashes off the crossbar and bounces on the goal-line. Shortly afterwards, Galesi produces a superb reflex save to deny Ferrani from a corner situation. The club from Città dominate the contest and deservedly move 1-0 up through Casadio, who heads home on 26 minutes from a Peluso cross. Less than five minutes later comes the second from Badalassi from the penalty spot. The penalty is won by Turchetta, clearly felled on entering the box after a short-corner one-two on which Faetano failed to close down. Tre Penne find it remarkably easy to get shots away from inside the area, but waste plenty before finally netting the goal that seals the 3-0 scoreline. The honour of that strike goes to Filippo Berardi, who moves onto seven league goals. That final goal is facilitated by an error from Ioli in playing out from the back, allowing the Sammarinese forward to pounce from the edge of the area with his left foot.
