League: everyone chasing Tre Fiori, who now target unbeaten Domagnano
The first draw of Tre Penne has broken up the leading pair. Now Tre Fiori stand alone at the top, thanks to four wins from as many matches for Girolomoni’s side. On Matchday 5 the leaders feature in one of three late fixtures. They will face Domagnano in Montecchio, a side still unbeaten in the league but keen to improve on a recent run of two consecutive goalless draws. Tre Penne also play on Sunday. They will meet, in Domagnano, a Pennarossa in good shape, who after drawing in the cup managed to claim their first league win as well. Tre Penne will in any case take to the pitch already knowing Virtus’ result, with whom Berardi’s men currently share 10 points. The defending champions are aiming for a fourth straight win: standing in their way, on Saturday in Acquaviva, is a San Marino Academy still stuck on their opening-day draw with Libertas. The latter will face Murata on Sunday in Fiorentino, looking to ride the positive wave from their first win of the season, earned in the derby with San Giovanni. As for the Bianconeri, their success in the Titano Cup is still waiting for a league counterpart, an essential step if they are to erase the minus sign in the points column as soon as possible.
Saturday’s programme will be extremely limited. Besides San Marino Academy – Virtus, the only other fixture is the one in Montecchio between Juvenes-Dogana and La Fiorita, with live streaming also available on FIFA+. The draw in the big match with Tre Penne halted the momentum of the Montegiardino side, who were coming off two consecutive wins. Their mission is therefore to pick up where they left off, while Juvenes-Dogana will look to build on the victory over Cailungo, which allowed the Biancorossoazzurri to overtake Fiorentino and move to within touching distance of Domagnano, now just one point ahead.
Folgore have recently overtaken Domagnano in the table and now want to continue their climb by targeting a third consecutive win, to be pursued in the match against Fiorentino, one of several fixtures making up a busy Friday night schedule. They play in Dogana: on one side, as mentioned, the desire for continuity (above all to stay on the heels of leaders Tre Fiori); on the other, the need to rediscover the full joy of victory, missing for three games (cup included), during which Costantini’s men have collected as many draws. In Acquaviva, again on Friday evening, Cailungo will seek an immediate response after the defeat that ended a positive spell of one win and one draw. Opposite them, a Faetano side coming off three straight defeats but only one point behind their opponents in the standings – something that certainly will not strip Spartera’s Gialloblù of motivation. The other Friday night curtain-raiser is in Domagnano and pitches San Giovanni against Cosmos. Both sides are struggling: San Giovanni have so far picked up two points from two draws, while Cosmos, as things stand, have just one point on the board and sit second from bottom, level with San Marino Academy. The match is also a head‑to‑head between the two weakest attacks in the league so far: only one goal scored by the Rossoneri, and none yet by Andy Selva’s Gialloverdi.
All weekend matches will be available live and free on the Titani.TV streaming platform.
