League: postseason schedule confirmed
The schedule for the postseason in the league, which will have a place in the 2026-27 UEFA Conference League at stake, has been announced. Behind the champions – whose identity will be known over the course of this or next weekend – the next six teams will qualify directly for the quarter-finals. The sides finishing between eighth and eleventh place will instead face each other in single-leg ties: if the scores are level at the final whistle, the team with the higher position in the regular season table will go through. The two Preliminary Round fixtures will be played on Wednesday 29 April at 20:45.
The quarter-finals and semi-finals will be played over two legs (180 minutes). While the ties involving the teams that finished the regular season between fourth and seventh place will be known immediately, the second- and third-placed sides will have to wait for the outcome of the Preliminary Round to discover their respective opponents. The team with the lower league position will be paired with the side that finished the regular season as runners-up. If the aggregate score is perfectly level at the end of the second leg, progression – in both these rounds – will go to the team that finished higher in the table. The quarter-final schedule has the first legs taking place over the weekend of 2 and 3 May, with two matches per day at different kick-off times (15:00 and 18:00). The return legs are scheduled for midweek on 5 and 6 May: again there will be two games per evening, this time kicking off simultaneously (20:45). The format and schedule for the semi-finals are identical: the first legs will be played on Saturday 9 May in two time slots, while the second legs will take place on Tuesday 12 May. At this stage of the draw, the pairings will reflect the advantages gained during the regular season: the second-, third-, fourth- and fifth-placed teams – treated as seeded sides – can only meet in the semi-finals, with the top two among them able to face each other only in a possible final.
The final matches will be played on Saturday 16 May, at different venues and kick-off times. The game to determine fourth and fifth place will be held in Acquaviva from 16:00, while the play-off final – which will award a place in the next edition of the UEFA Conference League – will be played at the San Marino Stadium (18:30).
