League: Tre Fiori one point away from the title, head‑to‑head battle between Pennarossa and San Giovanni

Matchday 30 of the Campionato Sammarinese kicks off tomorrow with three fixtures being played simultaneously at 15:00. In Acquaviva, Domagnano and Folgore face off, with both sides already qualified for the play-offs. It’s a showdown in the race for the golden boot between top scorers Bonetti – leading on 23 goals – and Garcia Rufer, three behind. Watching closely is Prandelli (22 goals with Tre Fiori), also in contention after winning the award twice in recent seasons. In Fiorentino, San Marino Academy and Cailungo will instead do battle, and despite sitting third from bottom and second from bottom respectively, both will go in search of a win that has been missing for a long time. The last fixture of the day is in Montecchio between Fiorentino and La Fiorita, who are also already assured of direct qualification for the play-offs. The side from Montegiardino must keep Folgore at arm’s length, with a better goal difference currently in their favour, to secure fourth place.

The following day brings five more fixtures, again all kicking off at 15:00, which could decide the league champions. All eyes will be on Acquaviva, where Tre Fiori and Pennarossa go head to head. The team from Fiorentino need just a point to clinch the title – their first since the 2019-20 season – while a defeat could force a title play-off should Virtus win. The Chiesanuova side are battling with San Giovanni for the last spot that grants access to the preliminary round. If they finish level on points, goal difference – currently favouring the Rossoneri – will decide which of the two goes into the postseason, given the two draws recorded in their league meetings. Tognacci’s team (the coach is suspended) will face Tre Penne in Montecchio; Tre Penne are out of the title race but still chasing second place at the expense of Virtus. The Neroverdi cannot afford any slip-ups against Libertas if they are to keep alive their last chance of winning the title. For this final league outing, Libertas coach Buda will be without the suspended Michelotti and Nigro. In Domagnano, Cosmos and Faetano then meet, with the former certain to finish eighth and the latter thirteenth. The Gialloverdi will therefore have to go through the preliminary round to reach the play-offs. The final match of the round is in Fiorentino between Juvenes Dogana and Murata. Boldrini’s side – without the suspended Della Valle – are already sure of taking part in the preliminary round, but a win could see them snatch ninth place from Libertas. Mancini’s Bianconeri – still rooted to the bottom – will be chasing a moment of joy in a difficult season.

As has already happened this season, this 30th round will again feature a referee exchange between the small European federations. Four referees from Andorra will officiate two matches over the weekend. David Vilanova, assisted by Eithan Moreno and Carlos Miguel Braga, will take charge of Fiorentino v La Fiorita, while Antoine Paul Chiaramonti – once more with assistants Moreno and Braga – will referee Sunday’s Libertas v Virtus. Heading to Andorra instead will be William Villa, Tommaso Balzano, Giuseppe Macaddino and Marco Savorani, who will officiate four Primera Divisió fixtures.
