FSGC/MovieByDaniels | La Fiorita, down to nine men, fall to Tre Penne – with Errico and Bartoli on target

San Marino Championship - 31 January 2026

League: Tre Penne beat nine-man La Fiorita, Folgore come from behind

Faetano were chasing a win that could relaunch their postseason ambitions in the head‑to‑head at the “Federico Crescentini” Stadium against Pennarossa. The urgency drives Sperindio’s men, who are more convincing early on and go close to taking the lead with a long‑range rocket from Lenzu – palmed away by Tordella. Shots from distance are a key weapon for Faetano and on 20 minutes they hit the base of the post with a powerful effort from Elia. Five minutes later Zonzini again calls Tordella into action, underlining a first quarter of the match effectively played in one half. Ricchiuti tries to reverse the trend by introducing Tolomeo and Dulcetti: the latter forces Venturini into a save with a curling left‑footer on 52 minutes, finally putting Pennarossa into the match report. The Biancorossi threaten again with a Pintore header, while at the other end a lapse from Varrella gifts Elia a chance. He immediately shifts onto his right and unleashes a ferocious strike, but it’s too central. Another series of errors as Pennarossa try to play out from the back presents a golden chance on Abbadessa’s right foot, but he fails to find the corner one‑on‑one with the keeper. On the rebound, Agati is unable to do better. Deep into stoppage time, Faetano see the move that would have led to an Ioli goal ruled out for a foul on Tordella as he came off his line. The match finishes goalless, a result that suits Pennarossa more, as they preserve both their cushion and their advantage in the race for the Preliminary Round.

The Montecchio big match catches fire quickly, with Badalassi and Olcese providing the first scares for Vivan and Migani. The game is lively, and in the opening spell all that’s missing is the moment of brilliance to break the deadlock. The potentially decisive incident arrives on 30 minutes, when Andrea Brighi is sent off for DOGSO. Earlier, former La Fiorita man Barretta had gone close from a corner, while on 44 minutes Gasperoni failed to beat Migani at his near post. After the break, with La Fiorita inevitably dropping deep, chances are initially at a premium; the first comes on 69 minutes when Bartoli sees his effort blocked in the heart of the area. The goal takes almost another ten minutes to arrive and surprises for the way it comes about, because Ceci’s side – even with ten men – are all camped in the opposition half, forcing Grandoni to bring down Berardi on a Tre Penne counter. Another DOGSO incident and a second straight red card for the Gialloblù, who then concede the 0-1 from the resulting Errico free‑kick on the edge of the box. Despite being down to nine, La Fiorita still carve out a glorious chance to equalise: Semprini crashes a shot against the woodwork that saves Migani on 83 minutes. The game is definitively put to bed in the fifth minute of added time by Bartoli, who makes it 2-0. Tre Penne pull clear in third place, handing La Fiorita their first defeat of the season.

In the first of the two early kick‑offs at Acquaviva, Murata break the deadlock on the half‑hour thanks to a clumsy own goal by Sartori, who turns into his own net with his left as he tries to nip in ahead of Tahiri. The black‑and‑white lead lasts only a moment, just long enough for Malaponti to slip a ball through the middle: Augusto Garcia Rufer nips in ahead of Sias and restores parity. Murata, however, strike the killer blow for 2-1 deep into stoppage time: Uva ghosts in behind everyone to meet Maciel’s free‑kick, capping a move created and finished by former Libertas players. Folgore put their foot down in search of another equaliser and, after threatening through Fall from distance, draw level on the Raschi–Augusto Garcia Rufer combination on the hour mark. On this occasion the striker is quicker than both marker and goalkeeper, making the most of the assist from his team‑mate, who had come on less than five minutes earlier. Afterwards, the same forward and Miori waste two huge chances to complete the comeback: the former finds the ball at his feet in the six‑yard box but lacks sharpness and conviction, while the winger sees his tap‑in blocked by a defender. That chance comes from a corner routine which Folgore repeat on 84 minutes, again catching their opponents out: this time De Nicolò’s right‑footer takes a decisive deflection and Lasagni’s side go ahead for the first time, then see out a victory that lifts them back up to fourth place in the table.

The early‑match schedule closes with the meeting between Cosmos and Virtus, in which the reigning champions are after a win to keep Tre Penne at arm’s length and, above all, avoid dropping further ground on leaders Tre Fiori, who face San Marino Academy tomorrow live on Titani.tv and FIFA+. The clash between Selva’s and Bizzotto’s teams is highly tactical at the start, to the point that there are no chances in the opening 25 minutes. Two minutes later Gaita tries from long range, but his effort flies well over. The first shot on target comes from Rinaldi, freed up by a block at a corner: his technique on the right‑footed volley is classy, as is Semprini’s response. Opportunities are sporadic, and defences generally come out on top: as on 40 minutes, when Rossi prevents danger with a last‑ditch intervention on Sabato’s low cross. It’s as crucial as Carubini’s block on Zenoni’s delivery – which, according to the Gialloverdi protests, stemmed from a ball that had gone out of play on the touchline at the start of the move. At the start of the second half Golinucci lets fly from mid‑range, but a deflection saves Semprini’s goal. Zenoni then shoots right‑footed from the edge on 53 minutes, but without a touch it also fails to find the target. It takes a fine save from the Cosmos keeper to keep out a cross‑shot glanced on by Scappini. The game plan is now clear: Virtus managing possession, the Gialloverdi looking to break. Selva’s men see a good effort from Islamaj blocked on 62 minutes, while three minutes later Semprini produces a stunning save on Scappini’s left‑footed diagonal. In the closing stages the Acquaviva club commit men forward, aware that a draw would feel like half a defeat: Cosmos survive a couple of scrambled situations in their own box, and take the 0-0 to the finish line also thanks to a series of prodigious reflex saves from Semprini. The scoreline doesn’t change again, to the delight of Tre Fiori who, if they beat the Academy tomorrow, could extend their lead to five points over their closest pursuers.
