League: Tre Penne out in front on their own after early fixtures, Juvenes-Dogana claim the derby

Tre Penne respond to the early wins of La Fiorita and Virtus, needing less than half an hour to all but wrap up victory over Faetano. The club from Città’s “B factor” proves irresistible once again: this time it is Berardi who opens the scoring with a stunning strike. The Sammarinese winger starts wide on the right, cuts inside onto his left and, after skipping past a couple of opponents, leaves Venturini rooted with a shot into the far corner. Only 30 seconds have elapsed and Tre Penne have no intention of easing off. On 15 minutes Pastorelli swings in a corner for Badalassi, who loses his marker and plants a header home from the middle of the box. Five minutes later the same striker makes it three goals in two games, punishing a poor intervention from Ioli and beating Venturini with a brilliant first-time chip. The hat-trick is completed a few minutes before the interval, when Loiodice wins the ball high up the pitch and releases Badalassi, who finishes off the counter-attack for Tre Penne’s fourth. Which becomes truly sensational in the first minute of added time: Badalassi is the star again (four goals in one half for him), this time with a goal made of power and determination. Having won the physical battle with Ioli, caught napping in cover, he keeps his cool to beat Venturini one-on-one. In the second half, with a quarter of an hour to go, there is glory for Peluso as well: a close-range header from a cross by substitute Turchetta. With this resounding win, Tre Penne go top on their own after the early fixtures of matchday two, awaiting the games involving Domagnano and Tre Fiori, who could join them at the summit.

In Acquaviva, Cailungo and Murata meet with the shared aim of putting opening-day defeats behind them. The Rossoverdi are clearly superior in the first half, although it remains goalless at the break thanks also to Leardini – decisive on efforts from Bua and Conti. Bua is involved in another couple of promising situations but fails to hit the target. The Cailungo forward redeems himself on 65 minutes, latching onto a short backpass from De Biagi to get there ahead of Leardini and break the deadlock. At the other end Kashari fails to return the favour – denied by a brilliant Leardini after a glaring mistake from Quaranta. Cailungo lack the killer instinct through Radici and Bua and pay for it with the clinical late strike from former Cailungo man Labas, who keeps his head in front of Gallinetta after a perfect lay-off from Salemme. It is the goal that seals the final 1-1, postponing the first win of the season for both sides.

In Dogana it is time for the Castello di Serravalle derby between Juvenes-Dogana and Cosmos, which offers few thrills in the first half. Semprini has to get his gloves behind a powerful effort from Giovagnoli, while Davide Colonna is decisive on 42 minutes in turning away Fermi’s low diagonal from the edge of the box. Just before the hour mark it is the other Colonna, Riccardo, who has the chance to give Cosmos the lead – but Semprini produces a stunning reflex stop. Unfortunately for Cosmos, Pedini is the quickest to react to the rebound and, after winning the tackle with Mhilli, he fires home to make it 1-0 to Juvenes-Dogana. Boldrini’s side stand up to the all-out assault of their neighbours, though they do pass up the chance to wrap it up when Gian Maria Borghini misses on 87 minutes. The wide man will not dwell on it, as he can celebrate with his team-mates a second successive clean sheet, which has yielded four points in the table.
