San Marino Championship - 17 January 2026

League: Tre Penne run riot, first joy for the Academy

In the first outing of 2026 in the Campionato Sammarinese, Tre Penne and San Marino Academy take centre stage. In today’s packed schedule, with as many as five matches kicking off at 15:00, Bonini’s side overwhelms Fiorentino – who came into the game on the back of five consecutive wins – while Di Maio’s Titani defeat Libertas to claim their first victory of the season.

At Acquaviva, the only bright note of the day for Fiorentino is the presentation of the awards for last month’s top performers: Abouzziane wins the Tim San Marino MVP as best player, while Costantini is voted best coach, earning the K-Sport prize. On the pitch, however, it is a story of Tre Penne dominance: a quarter of an hour in, Filippo Berardi breaks the deadlock, and before the interval the lead is doubled through a Costantini own goal. After the restart things go from bad to worse for Fiorentino when Cucchi is shown a second yellow card and leaves his side down to ten men. The Biancoazzurri are given even more licence to attack and soon make it three through Tommaso Bartoli – one of the new faces brought in during the winter transfer window. Bonini’s substitutions bring further rewards, with the fourth goal from Badalassi and a brace by Kamouni. In Acquaviva it ends 6-0 to Tre Penne – their third win on the spin, lifting them into third place on their own.

As mentioned, San Marino Academy also celebrate, seeing off Libertas with a goal in each half. The opener is a real gem from Enea Della Balda, who on 20 minutes unleashes a powerful long-range strike that beats Manzaroli. The Titani’s number ten is then involved in the second goal after the break – played in dense fog – when from a free-kick he finds Mattia Ciacci, who heads in the final 2-0 scoreline.

Among the other afternoon fixtures, there were wins also for Folgore and Faetano, against Cailungo and Murata respectively. Lasagni’s side, claiming back-to-back victories, edge past the Rossoverdi thanks to an early decisive goal (9’) from Miori, who rises highest to head in a Sartori corner. Faetano’s success under Sperindio is more hard-fought but certainly effective, and ends a run of three straight defeats. After a goalless first half, Murata have a chance to go in front on 75 minutes, but Gashi misses a penalty. Faetano keep believing and on 86 minutes break the deadlock through new signing Giuseppe Elia, who capitalises on a scramble in the box. Deep into stoppage time, Lenzu puts the exclamation mark on the result, beating Bracconi for 2-0.

The only draw of the afternoon comes at the Ezio Conti in Dogana between Domagnano and Pennarossa. It is a balanced contest and is unlocked on 76 minutes, when Sopranzi nods the ball on in the area for the light but decisive touch from Bonetti. Eight minutes later Domagnano are reduced to ten men following Gozzi’s dismissal for a second yellow card. Pennarossa sense their opportunity and equalise on ninety minutes: a cross from the left by Riccardo Bezzini – a recent addition to the Biancorossi squad – is swung into the area, Guglielmi gets his head to it but sends it into his own net. A minute later the Giallorossi defender almost redeems himself, going within centimetres of restoring Domagnano’s lead. In Dogana, however, it finishes honours even (1-1).

Tomorrow the action resumes with three more matches, including an enticing La Fiorita–Virtus (live on Titani.tv and FIFA +). Below is the partial schedule for Matchday 16 of the 2025-26 Campionato Sammarinese:
