League: two early kick-offs after the break

After the break for San Marino’s national team fixtures, the Campionato Sammarinese returns. Virtus and La Fiorita, who closed out the opening matchday, will kick off the second round in two Friday night early fixtures.

The reigning champions, who let a two-goal lead slip last time out, face Folgore – who looked in excellent shape in their first outing of the season. The match is scheduled in Acquaviva at 21:15. At the same time, but on the artificial pitch in Montecchio, it will be San Marino Academy v La Fiorita. Both sides, who came from behind to draw on the opening day, are chasing their first win of the season.

The other six fixtures in the second round are evenly split between Saturday and Sunday, all with a 15:00 kick-off. Cailungo-Murata will also be broadcast on FIFA+, as well as on Titani.tv (free-to-air), like all the other matches on the schedule. Both teams will be looking to bounce back after defeats to Folgore and Faetano respectively. The latter will be in Montecchio to face the revamped Tre Penne, who won their opener, unlike Cosmos – from whom more than one player departed in the summer to join the Città project. There is a derby mood in Serravalle, with the Gialloverdi taking on Juvenes-Dogana at the Ezio Conti in Dogana.

Sunday’s programme includes the only match staged in Domagnano. The home side coached by Amati, 4-0 winners in their league debut, will lock horns with Libertas – who were pegged back to a draw by San Marino Academy just under a fortnight ago. At the same time in Montecchio it will be Fiorentino v Pennarossa, both still on zero points after the opening 90 minutes. Tre Fiori-San Giovanni, in Dogana, will round off the matchday: the Gialloblù are aiming to build on their narrow victory in the head-to-head with Cosmos, while Tognacci’s men need to shift gear after a goalless draw with Juvenes-Dogana.
