National Goalkeeping Grassroots: first FSGC course for goalkeeping coaches under way

The first module of the course for goalkeeping coaches organised by the FSGC for the very first time, with the aim of constantly improving the quality of coaches working in the country, has now been completed. There are 26 participants, who followed the first two days of lessons with great interest and involvement on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 April at the Casa del Calcio. The course is an introduction to the role of the modern goalkeeping coach, and leading the activities is coach Alessandro Danti, instructor on FIGC courses and UEFA goalkeeping specialist. Alongside him is Carlo Chiarabini, head of the FSGC Education Department, ensuring a jointly managed and shared delivery of the course, in line with UEFA guidelines. With the introductory section of the course now concluded, it is time for the participants to tackle their “homework”. The second and final module, which will bring the course to a close, is scheduled for 11, 12 and 13 May.
