National Team: friendly against Modena scheduled for 2 August

The San Marino National Team will approach their September commitments in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers with an important friendly test in their legs. On 2 August at 17:00, at the “Lotta” Stadium in Fanano, Roberto Cevoli’s Biancazzurri will take on Modena – who finished eleventh in the most recent Serie B campaign. For San Marino’s Head Coach it will be something of a homecoming, having worn the Gialloblù shirt during his playing career, including a spell in Serie A with the Emilia-based club.

The friendly between Modena FC and the San Marino National Team, scheduled to be played in Fanano on Saturday 2 August at 17:00, will not only provide an important sporting test, but above all an opportunity to do some good. The match is in fact aimed at raising funds in support of paediatric projects promoted by healthcare facilities in Modena and by the ISS of San Marino.

The initiative stems from collaboration between the San Marino National Team and the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Modena, and has expanded thanks to the involvement of Modena FC, made possible also by the bond between San Marino Head Coach Roberto Cevoli, the Gialloblù club and the city of Modena.
