National Team: successful operations for Berardi and Riccardi

On Monday 28 September, at the State Hospital of San Marino, specifically in the Orthopaedics and Traumatology Department headed by Dr Luciano Trinchese, National Team players Filippo Berardi and Alberto Riccardi underwent surgery following recent injuries. The team led by Dr Camillieri, assisted by the FSGC Head of Medical, Dr Grana, performed, in the case of Filippo Berardi, reconstructive surgery on the anterior cruciate ligament of his right knee, after the serious injury sustained by the player with his club. As for Alberto Riccardi, the operation concerned his left knee, and specifically a tear of the lateral meniscus, which was partly trimmed and partly sutured. Both procedures were completely successful. For Berardi the expected recovery time is between 6 and 8 months, while Riccardi’s is estimated at around 2–3 months.
