National teams: head coaches schedule final sessions ahead of their respective debuts

With the matches against Hungary and Lithuania now just around the corner, the senior and Under-21 national teams are stepping up the intensity to be in the best possible shape for their return to competitive action. For head coaches Costantini and Cecchetti, this return to the pitch will also mark their debut in their new roles. The former Under-21 head coach will experience his "first" in exactly one week’s time, and it will come on home soil. 25 March will see the senior National Team play a friendly against Lithuania, scheduled at the San Marino Stadium at 20:45. To approach that fixture in the best possible way, and also to resolve the final selection doubts, Fabrizio Costantini has arranged three evening training sessions on next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, to be held on the pitches of Acquaviva (21 March) and Montecchio (22 and 23 March). These are the 27 players called up: For Matteo Cecchetti this will by no means be a first appearance in absolute terms within the Under-21 national team staff. However, the away match in Hungary will be his debut as head coach, for the former assistant to Costantini, with the young Biancazzurri taking on their Hungarian counterparts on Thursday 24 March at 20:30, at the Hidegkuti Nándor Stadium in Budapest. In the build-up to the trip to Hungary, Cecchetti has scheduled two further evening training sessions on Monday and Tuesday, both at the Serravalle B pitch. These are the 26 players involved:
