National teams: Vanni and Bonesso to lead the Biancazzurrini in age-group European qualifiers

In just under a month, San Marino’s Under-17 and Under-19 national teams will be back in action in their respective UEFA European Championship qualifying campaigns. Curiously, they will both play the three matches in their qualifying groups on the same matchdays, namely 11, 14 and 17 November. The head coaches of the two squads will be Dario Vanni (U19) and Alessandro Loris Bonesso (U17).

Vanni’s side will play in front of their home fans: the entire fixture list for their group at Round 2 level will be staged on the artificial pitch at the “Ezio Conti” Stadium in Dogana. The Biancazzurrini will be on the pitch always at 16:30 on matchdays, taking on Bosnia and Herzegovina, Denmark and Georgia in that order. The Under-17 national team coached by Bonesso, meanwhile, will travel to Türkiye. The youngest of the Biancazzurri sides involved in official UEFA competitions will be in action in Trabzon, home city of the Trabzonspor football club. Their debut will see the Biancazzurrini lock horns with the hosts at the “Of İlçe Stadyumu”, with kick-off at 13:00 (Italian time) on 11 November. Three days later, at midday, they will face their North Macedonia counterparts at the “Kadir Özcan Antrenman Tesisleri”. The final assignment for the Sammarinese, against Hungary at the “Ortahisar Yavuz Selim Stadi”, will also kick off at 12:00.
