European nights for Podeschi and Ascari

Cristiano Ascari and Stefano Podeschi have been appointed by UEFA, respectively as Match Delegate and Referee Observer, for two fixtures scheduled this week. Ascari arrived in Klagenfurt yesterday afternoon and this evening will oversee the smooth running of the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League Third Qualifying Round tie between Austrian side Wolfsberger and Malta’s Gżira (kick-off 19:30). The match at the Wörthersee Stadion will be handled by a Swiss refereeing team, led by Urs Schnyder. Podeschi, meanwhile, will be on duty at Tallaght Stadium in Dublin, where he will closely follow the performance of Polish referee Bartosz Frankowski and his assistants, compatriots Boniek and Winkler, as well as Krztsztif Jakubyk, the fourth official. Hosts Shamrock Rovers will welcome North Macedonian side Shkupi tomorrow evening, with kick-off at 21:00. The match is the first leg of the UEFA Europa League Third Qualifying Round.
