Referees: Beltrano and Pasi in Albania for Euro U-19 Round 1

International appointment for Michele Beltrano, involved in Group B4 of Round 1 of the UEFA European Under-19 Championship Qualifiers held in Albania. The FIFA referee for San Marino, together with ASA assistant referee Massimo Pasi, was appointed to officiate the matches Norway-Malta and Albania-Malta, played on 25 and 28 March respectively.

The mini-group for which they were appointed consisted of Norway, Luxembourg, Albania and Malta, and saw Norway finish top with 7 points, thus qualifying for Round 2 in League A. The first match assigned to Beltrano and Pasi was Norway-Malta, played in Durrës, which ended with few surprises at 1-0 thanks to Oppedal’s goal. The second game saw the hosts overwhelm Malta 7-1 in the capital Tirana, with hat-tricks from both forwards Kulla and Durmiši. Pasi was also appointed as assistant referee for the Albania-Norway match (2-2) on 31 March, with Beltrano acting as fourth official.
