Referees: Delvecchio appointed in Tirrenia for the International Beach Soccer tournament

A new and important achievement for Raffaele Delvecchio: the ASA referee was in fact appointed among the officials for the International Beach Soccer, the international tournament held in Tirrenia from 3 to 7 July. Twelve national teams took part, eight in Division A and four in Division B. Delvecchio was involved in as many as nine matches, both as referee and timekeeper. He was also on duty – specifically as timekeeper – in the Division A final between Italy and Switzerland played yesterday, officiated together with colleagues Andrei Karhu (Estonia), Laurynas Arzuolaitis (Lithuania), Tomáš Nejedlý (Czech Republic) and Stefania Bonnici (Malta). For the record, Emiliano Del Duca’s Azzurri beat the Swiss 3-2, winning the tournament and thus qualifying for the final phase of the European Championship, which will be held in Alghero next September.
