Referees: Ilie and D’Adamo in Malta for a futsal exchange
With the semi-finals played at the Multieventi on Wednesday and yesterday evening, a full cycle of referee exchanges has been completed involving Malta and San Marino in the futsal sphere. The cycle began with the trip made by Daniele D’Adamo and Laurentiu Ilie – accompanied by observer Matteo Donadoni – between the end of April and the start of May. On 30 April, the international pair from ASA took charge of the first leg of the Maltese Premier League semi-final between Luxol St. Andrews and University of Malta. Then, on 2 May, they also officiated the other first-leg semi-final, which pitted Swieqi United against Ta’ Xbiex. Malta then returned the visit on the occasion of the first-leg semi-finals of the San Marino Championship, as mentioned. The duo made up of Clinton Mario Cassar and Orazio Marco La Rosa refereed Virtus-Murata and La Fiorita-Pennarossa, alternating roles as Referee 1 and Referee 2. In both matches there was an ASA official providing support, acting as Third Referee: Laurentiu Ilie on Wednesday and Andrea Zaghini last night.
