Referees: Ilie in Andorra for the Main Round of Futsal EURO 2026

The Main Round of UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 is currently under way, with Latvia and Lithuania set to host the final tournament between January and February next year. The 40 best teams in Europe are competing to reach that goal, with the two Baltic sides already assured of their place in the Finals as hosts. Andorra are also still in the hunt, one of the six national teams that progressed to the Main Round via last April’s preliminary stage. Last week the Pyrenean side hosted the Netherlands, earning a second draw in two meetings with the Oranje (1-1, following the 5-5 in the Netherlands). At the Poliesportiu d'Andorra there was also Laurentiu Ilie, a FIFA Futsal Referee for San Marino, appointed as the third referee alongside Macedonian official Mladenovski and Denmark’s Martin Køster. It was an important experience and a prestigious appointment for the Sammarinese match official, who has been on the international list for San Marino for two years.
