Referees: Laura Cordani in Madrid for the Women's Champions League

The European rise of Laura Cordani continues. After officiating at national level – she was the first woman to take charge of a match in the Sammarinese futsal league – the international career of the assistant referee (ASA) goes on. Having already made her European debut in the Youth League, Cordani has now been appointed by UEFA for the mini-tournament scheduled in Madrid, which serves as the first qualifying round of the Women's Champions League. Cordani will serve as one of the two assistant referees in the group’s opening match, kicking off today at 21:00 between Real Madrid and Sturm Graz Damen at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium (the referee for the match will be Slovenian official Aleksandra Cesen). At the same stadium – but on Sunday 21 August at 21:00 – Cordani will again be on assistant duty for the final between the two winners of the semi-finals (Real Madrid-Sturm Graz and Manchester City-Tomiris Turan).
