Referees: Main Round appointment in Futsal Champions League for D’Adamo

An important call-up for San Marino’s international futsal referee, Daniele D’Adamo. In these days he is in Palma de Mallorca, having been appointed by UEFA to the refereeing team in charge of the six matches in Group 3 of the Main Round of the 2023-24 UEFA Futsal Champions League. He made his debut as second referee in the clash between Kairat Almaty and Differdange, which saw the Kazakh side prevail 4-2 last Thursday. D’Adamo then took charge as first referee of the Luxembourgers’ second match, in which they went down to the hosts Palma by a scoreline of 9-4. On that occasion, the second referee was Italian international Nicola Manzione. While awaiting the appointments for the final matchday, scheduled for tomorrow and again at the Palau Municipal d´Esports de Son Moix, D’Adamo could also be involved in Palma v Kairat Almaty – a decisive fixture for top spot in the group. Palma, who have a 100% record so far and hold a two-point lead over the Kazakh club, have two results out of three in their favour. International duties also for Cristiano Ascari, appointed as UEFA Delegate for the UEFA Europa Conference League match between KÍ Klaksvík and Olimpija Ljubljana. At the Tórsvøllur in Tórshavn, the islanders – who faced Tre Fiori in European competition four years ago – claimed their first win in the group stage with an emphatic 3-0 victory.
