Referees: Podeschi confirmed among UEFA CORE instructors

A prestigious confirmation for Stefano Podeschi, who served among the instructors at the 59th UEFA CORE, which from 19 to 26 March recently ran the introductory course for referees and assistant referees at the Nyon headquarters. As usual, the programme offered to the participants was thorough and demanding, covering every aspect of refereeing – from fitness and athletic performance, to knowledge of the Laws of the Game and mental resilience in managing a match. The next step is scheduled for September, with the Consolidation Course for all participants in the latest edition run by the Centre of Refereeing Excellence. Ahead of that event, the match officials from the Football Associations of Wales and Estonia will be overseen on two separate occasions by Podeschi himself, in his role as mentor. The first assignment is set for 6 April, in the United Kingdom.
